| | Hey everyone! So I'm still alive. I'm in my 4th week of grad school and I love it though it's killing me slowly. This week we have midterms. Today (Monday) I had my Neuro lab practical (50 identification questions and 50 fill-in-the-blank function questions). Tomorrow I have my Anatomy lecture exam and right after that I have my Anatomy lab practical. Finally, Wednesday I have my Neuro lecture exam (which is the exam that's freaking me out). After class that day, me and a bunch of the other PTers are going to The Patio to have a couple drinks and drown our sorrows. Anyway, like my title states, I've joined the club. What club, you ask? Well about 9 days ago, I visited Dayton, OH and while I was down there I visited the Fairborn Deja Vu Tattoo parlor and got inked. Yep, that's right. I got a tattoo. It's kinda cool actually. $75 got me a black, white, and gray Chinese symbol that means "Chess" on my foot. I like it a lot, but I'm sticking to just one tattoo, I don't care how addicting they are. It hurt like a bitch. I don't think anything else is new. Just doing the school thing. I don't have a job, which is nice but at the same time I don't have any income either. I may have to go back to getting a weekly allowance. Boo! I need a job, but for now I literally have no time. I go to class, come home and hide in my room to study. Every now and then I find time to lay out and catch some rays, but really I don't do much of anything during the week. I'm looking forward to this weekend because I've decided I'm doing absolutely nothing. I've been working my ass off, I'm taking a break for a day or two. I've been getting back into running lately too. I haven't been able to for a while because of the tendinitis in my foot (which made me quit soccer). I'm hoping by this time next summer I can do a 5k or something longer with a decent time. Really I'm working up to being able to play indoor soccer by this winter, as well. My cousin said she's friends with a woman who has a team that plays competitively and they're always looking for players. I'm ready again, I miss that sport. I also may be playing in the Spring softball league with my cousin next Spring. She plays for the '86 alumni team that has won 11 times so that should be good for me! If anyone ever wants to do anything, just let me know. I'm up for it when I have the time...and I have catching up to do with a lot of you. Take care all and have a great summer! Smiling ~ Britt |
